An Engagement

Bela asked me to marry him. I said yes.




We are so happy, so grateful, so amazed. Sometimes it makes my heart ache and I think: I've never known worship like this. It's love...unbelievable love.

Ringing in 2009

We spent the new year with Lau and Vali, David and Lenuta, and Cristina and Bogdan. Nothing too exciting going on in these photos...mostly just messing around and Lenuta laughing really hard. I love the one where Bela looks surprised, especially since he took the photo. And the sweater I'm wearing was a gift from Kris Bauernfeind...I've worn it every day since it arrived.

Sinaia

Bela and I made the 8 hour roundtrip drive to Sinaia during our vacation. It was beautiful...even in the cold weather. We saw the sunrise as we drove, visited the castle where the king used to live (although we couldn't see inside because it's closed on Tuesdays), made the dangerous drive up a mountain (i.e., picture of Bela putting on the chains), and walked around a monastery. We also ate some good food, laughed, and just enjoyed the day. Sinaia is a beautiful little town and I can't wait to visit again when the weather is warmer and everything is green!
